St. Mark's Tower Restoration Project. Blessing of the Animals. ACW Meeting

St. Mark's Anglican Church, Barriefield
St. Mark's Newsletter for October 4, 2024
St. Mark's Tower Restoration Project

St. Mark's Tower Restoration Project

An Update

In accordance with the multi-year repair/restoration program outlined at the Congregational Meeting on September 8, the four pinnacles atop the tower have now been removed to help preserve the integrity of the tower structure. The copper spheres atop the pinnacles have been saved with a view to their eventual restoration once the project is complete.

Remaining work this year will include localized repairs to the tower roof, to prevent water ingress into the internal tower structure, and the installation of crack guages to identify any further deterioration to the tower.

PAG Member Contributions

PAG Member Contributions

First of all, we would like to thank all those who contribute regularly to St. Mark's through Pre-Authorized Givings (PAG).  This predictable source of monthly income is of great value to the Wardens as they manage the day-to-day financial obligations of the church.

Some parishioners who are on PAG have asked how they can give extra money to special appeals, etc.

If you would like to donate to something outside  of your pre-authorized amount, all you have to do is put your cheque or cash into any envelope and clearly mark it with your intention, for example, Tower Fund, Mission and Outreach, Baby Bottle Campaign, Memorial, etc. Make sure your name is on the envelope and if you know your PAG number, you can put that on too.

You can also donate by credit card through our website.

If you have any questions, you can contact Susan Evans @ 416-451-1538.
