Bring your "treasures" to St. Mark's Parish Hall today, Friday, May 23, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for set up and then display tomorrow, Saturday, May 24, from 8 am to 3 pm.  All sellable items (except vehicles) are acceptable.

This Sunday is Rogation Sunday, a springtime service of celebration, where we will ask for God's blessing of seeds, bulbs, soil, water, gardening tools and gardeners.

Everyone is therefore invited to bring their own seeds, bulbs and gardening tools to be blessed.  Wearing of gardening attire is also encouraged!.

Those in attendance will be given some blessed soil and take home to be spread around their garden/flowers.

We hold quiet, contemplative evening prayer on the last Wednesday of the month.  We will gather at 7:00 p.m. for a time of scripture, reflection and prayer. 

You are cordially invited to CLAP your hands and SING ALONG at St. Mark's Coffee House , located in St. Mark's Parish Hall on Saturday, May 31 at 2 pm.

Tom MacIntosh and Barry Yuen's Trio will play a range of familiar songs.

Bring your family and friends!  Light refreshments will be available.

Admission: Free-Will donation, with proeeds going to the church's Tower Restoration Fund.

The Sisters of Saint John the Divine (SSJD) are an order of the Anglican Church of Canada, and their Motherhouse is in Toronto. The sisters continue to reach out in teaching, healing, caring, and loving the people God brings to them at the Motherhouse where they provide active hospitality, retreats, spiritual direction, and outreach into the community. 

At its 2023 Synod, the Diocese of Ontario pledged, "by way of contributions and solicited donations, at least $30,000 towards the refurbishment of the guest house of SSJD to support their ongoing ministry, and for the support of the future life of the Anglican communion in Canada.”

At the end of 2024, close to $15,000 had been raised by parishes/congregations/individuals towards the $30,000 goal. These funds and the remainder will be crucial toward this project with the unfortunate and costly discovery of asbestos during the work already underway.

If so motivated, individuals may give directly to this project either through the diocese directly via cheque or etransfer (payments@ontario.anglican.ca), with the designation SSJD Motherhouse, or through a Mission & Outreach donation to St. Mark’s, again clearly designated to SSJD Motherhouse.
