Change for Life CampaignSunday, May 14 to Sunday, June 18 The Mea Centre (formally known as the Kingston Pregnancy Centre) is a local non-profit organization that has been operating since 1989. They provide compassionate support and education for individuals and families impacted by unexpected pregnancy and its effects. All of their programs and services are free, confidential, and are offered in a safe and non-judgmental environment regardless of age, gender, race, or religion. As a non-profit agency, the Mea Centre relies on the kindness and generosity of individuals, families, corporations and churches to support its programs and participants. For many years St. Mark's has supported this organization through their annual Change for Life Campaign (also known as the Baby Bottle Campaign) from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day. This year, as in recent years, St. Mark's will again be providing an opportunity for parishioners to donate through cheques made payable to St. Mark's Church, but clearly designated to the "Change for Life Campaign". The cheque can either be mailed to: 268 Main Street, Kingston ON K7K 6W4, or dropped into the offering plate on Sunday. Donations to the Mea Centre through St. Mark's can also be made online through the "DONATE" menu on the church's website. Please select "Mission and Outreach" in the "To:" drop-down menu, and enter "Change for Life Campaign" in the memo field. All designated donations received up to and including Father's Day (on June 18), will be forwarded on by St. Mark's to the Mea Centre. As with all donations through St. Mark's, a tax receipt will be issued at year-end. |
