At St. Mark’s, we recognize that the world in which we live is a difficult one; every day we see the struggles assailing us, and others in every direction.

As Yeats put it, ‘Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold’ and all seems to be crumbling around us. Give in, and give up, says the world. We disagree. Strongly and absolutely.

We gather in our wonderful old church building to proclaim a faith to the world around us that says ‘No!’ to the chaos, the darkness, the gloom and the despair. We say we believe in a God who has come amongst us to proclaim and offer Hope. His name is Jesus Christ and we believe in Him. He does extraordinary things through us, and with us and in us. We are witnesses to that and we offer that Good News to all whom we come in contact with.

You would be most welcome to join us as we explore what that means today.
