St. Mark’s Tower Restoration Project

St. Mark’s Tower Restoration Project

2024 Funding Campaign Results

At the beginning of Lent an anonymous donor came forward and offered to match all donations to the Tower Restoration Fund, dollar-for-dollar, up to a limit of $25,000.

In light of this very generous offer, the Tower Restoration Committee established a goal to raise at least $50,000, through donations, during the period ending Sunday, April 7 (first Sunday after Easter).  This goal included raising at least $25,000 in donations from members and friends of St. Mark’s, plus the $25,000 matching donation.

Well, the congregation of St. Mark's rose to this challenge and not only met the $25,000 goal, but exceeded it by a whopping 20%!  The total raised through donations was $30,075.  With the matching donation of $25,000, total funds raised were $55,075.

This is awesome news.  Deepest thanks to all who donated so generously in response to this appeal.  You are all amazing!

Since the fall of 2022, total funds raised for the Tower Restoration, through donations, fundrasing and grants, now exceeds $200,000.

Spring Clean-up Day

Spring Clean-up Day

Inside and Outside the Church - Saturday, April 13

We will be holding our ‘Spring Clean-up Day’ tomorrow, Saturday, April 13.  Plans have been made for the cleaning of the inside of the church (have you been noticing the many cobwebs in the upper areas?), the Parish Hall and the church grounds.  Pick one of the three areas and bring the supplies you will need to work in that area.  The work is scheduled from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Bring a lunch if you need one.  Coffee and tea will be available in the Parish Hall.

St. Mark's 181st Anniversary and Bishop’s visit

St. Mark's 181st Anniversary and Bishop’s visit

Sunday, April 28

Bishop William will be visiting us on April 28. This will be his first official visit to St Mark’s and this day will also commemorate our 181st Anniversary. The visit will commence with the 10:30 am Worship Service led by Bishop William and is followed by a light luncheon in the Hall, hosted by the Parish. We hope that you will be joining us in welcoming the Bishop and celebrating our anniversary.

The luncheon will be similar to a pot-luck and we are asking for your contribution of diabetic friendly finger-foods, cold meats and salads. If you are able to assist or would like more information please contact Andi Muralt (Warden) at ammuralt@gmail.com or the Parish Office at 613-546-3386, or officestmarksbarriefield@kingston.net.

ACW Bottle Collection

ACW Bottle Collection

The Outreach committee of the ACW is collecting empty wine, beer or liquor bottles, to redeem for cash.  The money collected will go to support the al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza.  This is an appeal from PWRDF.

There is a collection tub in St. Mark's parish hall across from the office where you can drop bottles at any time.

Your support is greatly appreciated.
